80’s – From excess to sustain

This test shoot took inspiration from the bold, indulgent food styling of the 1980s—champagne towers, seafood platters, layered buffets—and gave it a modern twist. Think big party energy: sparkling disco balls, shimmering textures, and food styled to celebrate.

The idea was to contrast that visual excess with a more thoughtful approach—bringing in themes of sustainability, seasonality, and reducing waste. All the food was eaten, reused or repurposed after the shoot—nothing wasted, just reworked.

Created in collaboration with Kathy Kordalis on food and Davina Perkins on props and art direction.
